Homestead Tax Credit & Exemption
After living in our home for 2.5 years I FINALLY remembered to sign up for our homestead tax credit and exemption and it's due by this Friday June 28th! It's incredibly easy to file (there are exactly zero reasons it took me so long to get it done) and below are a few links to surrounding counties. Don't worry, you only need to do this one time so if you've signed up in the past you're all set!
- Print, fill out, sign and email back.
- Find your parcel listing under "Property Search" by entering your property address.
- When you find your parcel, scroll down to the list of available applications “Homestead Tax Credit Application, Military Service Tax Exemption Application, or Business Property Tax Credit Application.”
- Click the "apply online" link. This brings up the prepopulated form that needs to be filled out, signed, and returned to our office.
***These counties are much easier than Pottawattamie County.
